ABOUT THE AUTHOR / PHOTOGRAPHER Born and raised in Yorkshire, England, Christopher P. Baker received his B.A. with Honours
(1976) in Geography at the University of London. He earned Masters' degrees in Latin American Studies from Liverpool University, and in Education from the University of London.
In 1980, he received a Scripps-Howard Foundation scholarship in journalism to attend the University of California, Berkeley. Christopher P. Baker has been profiled in USA Today
and has appeared on Bay TV's The Show, Fox Magazine, NBC Radio, PBS, NPR, and other nationally syndicated radio and TV
shows. A gifted public speaker, he has been privileged to address such prestigious entities as the National Press Club, the National Geographic Society (Live... from National Geographic
series), and World Affairs Council. He is an acknowledged expert on Cuba. He has written for publications as varied as National Geographic Traveler, the National Times,
Caribbean Travel & Life, National Wildlife, Islands, Discovery, Elle, the Robb Report, Travel Agent magazine, the Organization of American States' Am In addition to Cuba Classics: A Celebration of Vintage American Automobiles, his many other books include
